About Our Leadership
Daniel O’Hara
OC Meditation Group Founder, Meditation leader
Daniel started as a stockbroker at the age of 19 and worked for many years as a financial consultant (investment banking and bringing five companies public). Daniel O’Hara has experienced the stresses and realities of life. He is relatable and has developed a unique teaching style that is easy to follow, witty, and leaves students energized and educated.
Working in business gave Mr. O’Hara a foundation to explore, test, and integrate the practice of meditation and a special form of bio-energetic medicine known as Pranic Healing. The stress of commodity trading had created many obstacles that these techniques overcame, such as headaches, asthma, digestive issues and high blood pressure. Daniel O’Hara started teaching Pranic Healing in late 1994 until 2010. As a Senior Certified Pranic Healer and Certified Instructor he taught in nine states and helped develop nine instructors, many of whom have gone on to touch, empower, and heal thousands of people nationwide.
While practicing Pranic Healing, he consulted with many well-known professional athletes from the NFL, NBA, UFC, MLB and Pro Tennis. Other groups he has taught the technique to include medical doctors and corporate executives (and on one favorite occasion, a group of nuns at Notre Dame). Daniel is a keynote speaker. He has spoken on multiple health and wellness panels and has been featured on radio shows such as Mark & Brian, KFI, Ken & Bob.
Residing in Irvine, California, Daniel continues to work as an executive and is authoring three series of books. His first book, “Buddha Fields” was published in 2014. Daniel later published “Buddha Fields for Addictions” and “Christ’s Castle” in 2016. In 2017 he published “Krishna’s Kingdom.” More series’ books are being completed in 2019. Daniel has a passion for SCUBA diving and has an extensive martial arts background with three black belts he earned while studying with over a dozen instructors over the course of 30 years. He has published articles in Inside Kung Fu and Qi Journal and has been interviewed and written about in OC Weekly. He is a rare blend of spiritual intensity and grounded practicality. To point, his personality has been described as a combination of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Tony Robbins, and that of a Navy SEAL. He is an accomplished national speaker, and is consistently empowering and educating those around him, while at the same time cracking them up. He has been leading a weekly meditation group for the past 21 years, which was voted “Best Mediation Group In OC” by OC Weekly.
Cynthia Rittenhouse
Meditation leader
At the age of four, Cynthia witnessed positive healing results after a spiritual practitioner did a distant treatment for their family dog who had been ill. During her teenage years her intuition blossomed. At the age of seventeen, she had a near death experience in a hospital recovery room after a tonsillectomy, providing her with a new awareness surrounding death, and opening her up to spiritually. During her twenties she began a meditation practice, which felt very natural for her.
A variety of meditation practices over decades provided her resources to experience deep peace, inner wisdom, and even healing. The concept of energy healing intrigued her with a yearning to explore that realm.
In January of 2001 she kept getting the spiritual message to go to “Unity of Tustin.” Following that guidance she stepped onto the beautiful tranquil grounds of a church and campus with a meditation garden. Her life was changed forever. She found her high integrity energy healing instructors. They launched her on her path as an energy healer, fueling a natural passion within her.
Her journey began with Reiki. After her first class she did four consecutive Reiki treatments for her mother, healing painful strained ligaments her mother had been dealing with. Her Reiki classes continued to the level of Reiki Master/Teacher.
In 2004 she discovered Pranic Healing, training with high quality teachers and masters, including Master Choa Kok Sui, founder of modern day Pranic Healing. The disciplines of this advanced form of energy healing elevated her energy healing practice.
Another modality, Emotional Freedom Technique, also known as EFT, was added to her energy healing repertoire. Taking classes in that arena to empower her clients with the technique.
Cynthia incorporated working with Angels. A healer blessed her with wisdom that Cynthia utilized to develop her Angel Blessing Meditation. She also offers Angel Card Readings.
Her energy healing has assisted clients throughout the United States, and internationally. She experiences heart felt joy whenever the energy of pain is shifted into a place of peace for her clients, whether it is physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual.
